Entorno Geográfico is an open access scientific journal that operates with a continuous publication model, through two issues per volume (year). Its purpose is to validate and disseminate original articles and literature reviews in Spanish, English and Portuguese, focused on the field of geography. The main topics addressed by the journal include:

  • Geography
  • Social sciences
  • Geographic education

Submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, with the participation of active researchers and experts in the topics covered. The journal serves as an international forum for researchers, university professors, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as for any reader interested in learning about the latest research and debates in the areas of geography.

All articles published in Entorno Geográfico are immediately available in open access, in PDF and XML formats. The journal follows the “diamond” publication open access model, which means that no charges are applied to authors at any stage of the publication process (no article processing charges) as it is financially supported by the Universidad del Valle University Press and the Faculty of Humanities.

The journal uses the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 license (attribution, non-commercial, ShareAlike) for all its articles.
